Superb and large 19th century vegetable dish in solid silver from the ODIOT house. Large French silversmith's house founded in the 17th century. This piece bears the hallmark of Gustave Odiot whose signature "ODIOT in Paris" has been recognizable since 1865. This vegetable is made up of 3 elements, the main gadrooned part is provided with 2 handles decorated with interlaced ribbons being attached to the element main by a decoration of holly leaves. Inside is a lining that hugs the whole. The gadroon cover has the same decoration as the base and is topped with a cauliflower-shaped socket. All of the decorations are very finely carved, the ODIOT house being recognized for high quality silverware. The different elements are stamped with the 1st grade neck brace head and below is the ref N ° 172, the total weight is 2260 Gr.
