- Lille, 1765-1766
- Dim: 29.7 cm high; Weight (gross): 1275g

- Silver coffee maker, decorated with twisted ribs with twelve pinches. In the extension of the body, the decoration of the cover continues a whirling movement opposite to that of the body, the ridges meet at its top in a multi-layered seed. The beak decorated with ribs is open in a duckbill, with shells superimposed under the lip. The feet are rolled up with molded cartridge attachment, decorated with a jagged shell and acanthus clip. The twisted rib sleeve is applied to the body in a rockwork cartridge dear to the silversmith. Inscription under the body, HVM for the owner's initials.
- Piece referenced in "Les orfèvres de Lille" by Madame Nicole Cartier, 2 vol., N ° 412

- The twisted ribs are pinched with sharp edges alternately on the outside and then on the inside: this work is a creation specific to the goldsmith that we find on only one other jug and no other goldsmith. The shell foot clip with clip and this spout meet for the first time on a chocolate maker with twisted ribs by François-Joseph Baudoux from 1753-1755. Under the beak and on the attachments of the foot, jagged shells, with staple, appeared at the silversmith Pierre-Joseph Pontus, in 1763.

- Hallmarks (under the jug): Recognition of Lille: Fleur de lys crowned [NC, vol I, p.226]; Warden mark: W crowned, Lille, 1765-1766 [NC, vol I, p.226]; Master silversmith: I, B on L, R [NC, vol. I, pp. 337-338]; In the cover, the feet and the beak (small garrison punches): small "fleur de lys" for Lille, the small letter W under the crown with three florets; Master silversmith: L, R under a crown with three points, for the small silversmith's punch [NC, vol I, p.337]
