Carved Wood Character XVIIth Door Of Tabernacle Religious Folk Art Ref190

Mysterious old wooden statue, it is fixed on a background bearing traces of polychrome inscriptions.
It could be a tabernacle door or a wall panel.
Period: 17th century (but may be a little older).
I do not know which character it is, traces of polychromy also. Sold in its own juice, solid and healthy, usual wear and tear (see photos).
