"Papua New Guinea, Painted Bark Abelam From Haus Tambaran"
In the middle of the main villages of the Maprik region in Papua New Guinea stands a Haus Tambaran or men's house, the facade and interior of which are decorated with bark painted with natural pigments. The painted motifs represent primordial ancestors. the two panels fit graphically but are delivered detached from each other. each panel measures 100x35 cm.
