Beautiful work by the painter Pierre Ambrogiani which represents a view of a landscape of Vaucluse, most certainly in the Haut Vaucluse in Aurel or Sault, where the artist immortalizes landscapes and scenes of rural life.
The artist is distinguished by bright canvases and strong contrast, by the use of pure and violent colors of the Fauve painters.
Postman in 1928 until 1950, Pierre Ambrogiani is a self-taught artist, influenced by the painters Auguste Chabaud and René Seyssaud. He was encouraged by the painter Antoine Serra who lent him his studio.
In 1936, he met Pablo Picasso, who became one of his friends, during the inauguration of the Maison de la Culture in Marseille. He was first successful when the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Marseille bought a work from him.
In 1943, he set up his workshop in Marseille. After the War, he participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad; and receives many prestigious awards.
His growing notoriety, the artist obtained numerous public commissions and illustrated many works.
His works are preserved in many national and international museums.
