Elegant living room furniture from the Art Deco period by Jean Desnos (signed in the medallion) forming a cabinet with a mahogany veneer structure enlivened by a decoration in cross-pieces inlaid with diamonds underlined by ivory threads and adorned with a central medallion in gilded bronze depicting a mythological bas-relief featuring a naked young woman near a centaur and a compass rose. The whole is framed by facings of mirrors in gilded tin. The interior reveals shelves and drawers. Beautiful ogee base in a jump wave resting on curved feet adorned with large gilded bronze clogs. Good general condition, dimensions: 1.60 m long X 1.55 m high X 45 cm deep.
