Wood Sculpture 17th
This gilded wood sculpture representing a character holding a book, undoubtedly represents Antoine de Padoue, of whom the book was one of the attributes. The missing right arm may have been holding the baby Jesus, another attribute of this saint. Nice size 62 cms, with traces of polychrome color and it is a very beautiful decorative object. Remained in its original state, it has not undergone any restoration which gives it all its charm and authenticity. Base 17 x 17 cms.
