Carved Wood Shell Wall Light Console XVIII Chapel Shelf Ref156

imposing wall-mounted console in carved wood decorated with scallop shell and acanthus leaf.
It is made of oak wood carved in the mass in a single block which weighs 7,980 kilograms.
From the 18th century, it is a work of French folk art from a chapel.

It is in good general condition and has a nice patina, note that the upper part where the statue is placed is a little worn by time and use, but without consequence for placing a sculpture.
As you can see in the photos the bindings are posterior, but very strong.
