Ceramic empty pocket by Huguette & Marius Bessone, signed under the base H Bessone, Vallauris. Unique piece. around 1950/1960. Marius BESSONE was born in 1929. Between 1949 and 1954, he studied both industrial technique for architecture and ceramic decoration. He will open his own workshop where, from that moment on, he will test different processes such as crystallization, reliefs on brown tones and volcanic effects with a lightly colored grid. He will participate in almost all the Vallauris biennials as well as in prestigious exhibitions across France and Europe. He opened a workshop in Vallauris, with his wife Huguette, in 1954. And then worked as a couple. The interior of this empty pocket is soft green.
