Louis XV Dressing Table Stamped Pierre Antoine Galligné
Louis XV dressing table stamped Pierre Antoine Galligné and punch of jurande. Origin Norman castle. In rosewood and amaranth marquetry. Front with two drawers and a sliding shelf covered in leather. Top opening onto a mirror and two storage compartments. Animated feet and waistband. Bronze ornamentation, period locks and key. Restorations to be expected on the marquetry and in the accessories compartment. Eighteenth century period. Dimensions: high-74cm long-78cm prof-46. Open dimensions: long-124cm high-111cm. Pierre Antoine Galligné (circa 1725 - circa 1780). Parisian cabinetmaker received master on October 5, 1767. In his workshop in the rue de Charenton, this craftsman made very classic furniture, see traditionalist, since some of his chests of drawers affect straight or in the tomb of the Regency. He uses veneers of rosewood, amaranth, violet wood and occasionally, flower inlays. 18th century French furniture by Pierre Kjellberg. His mark A. GALLIGNE appears on a chest of drawers of convex shape, in rosewood, having belonged to M. Lavallée, curator of the library and collections of the School of Fine Arts of Paris. The 18th century cabinetmakers of François de Salverte.
