Rare 17th century money changer, Louis XIV, French work (Grenoblois). The desk consists of a blackened wooden base, opening and allowing the top to rest on the feet, 6 drawers in front, but 5 opening drawers. including 1 with hasp lock from the 17th century. Opening tray concealing 3 secret lockers which were used for storing coins, another hasp lock closes the whole. This desk is in walnut wood and blackened wood ,, No restorations
