This is Romeo, Xavier Charles Aglietti (1878 - 1956) Algiers. His father is Italian, his mother comes from Corsica. A pupil of the painter Rochegrosse, he continued his studies in Italy. In 1907 he was in Paris and then returned to Algiers.
He exhibited for the first time in Algiers in 1924, he founded in 1925 the artistic union of North Africa whose motto is: "Ars et vita".
At the end of his career, despite an increasingly confident technique, he retains the same spontaneous vision of things.
