Pair of Arita porcelain flared-neck vases enamelled in underglaze blue and decorated with red, black and gold lacquer. Japan Meiji period (1868-1912) The belly receives a rotating lacquer decoration On one side a large cartouche with a red and gold background is decorated with birds in cherry blossoms, on the other side a cartouche with a black and gold background decorated in a rocky landscape.
