Bronze Travel Icon " Beautiful bronze travel icon with brown patina representing Saint Boris and Saint Gleb on horseback, surmounted by a medallion representing the holy trinity, the bail adorned with a head of Christ.The names "Boris" and "Gleb" are inscribed in Slavic, an ancient orthodox lithurgical idiom. Boris and Gleb, very pious young Russian princes, were the sons of Prince Vladimir of Kiev. They were murdered in 1015 by their cousin.
We are announcing this plaque as the 19th century, but it may be much earlier.
