Inkwell In Brown Bronze Representing The Bust Of Molière
Desktop inkwell in brown and gilt bronze representing the bust of Molière on a cylindrical column with flutes embellished with a heart stripe ring, on a square base. Small plaque bearing the Molière annotation. The Bust is raised and reveals two places to put an inkwell and has a small sprinkler to dry the ink. This object has retained all of its original mercury gilding. Inkwell from the Restoration period 1814 - 1830.
