Oil on canvas representing "the fantastic ruins" of Hubert Robert French painter (1733-1808). Creator of poetic imagination of the 18th century, Man of the Enlightenment and visionary artist, Hubert Robert was able to inspire generations after by his composition of landscapes and the invention of ruins, monuments and gardens. This painting was made by one of his disciples (Y. Pegond) and dates from the end of the 19th century or the very beginning of the 20th century in accordance with the work of Hubert Robert exhibited at the Corsini Gallery located in Rome.
