Mahogany Art Nouveau Corner Display Cabinet By Maurice Dufrene Circa 1900

Showcase in solid mahogany, light wood threads and violet wood veneer on the sides. Slightly curved on the sides, it rests on two molded and curved legs on the front and opens with a large glass door.
This display case completed a dining room in solid mahogany, mahogany veneer, violet wood and light wood fillets which appeared at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1911 and reproduced in “the Paris Salons 1895-1914” volume III Furniture by Alastair Duncan editor “Antique Collector's Club” page 163 bottom, page 164
