Sumptuous ewer and its basin from the Louis XVI period, by the hand of the famous master silversmith Joseph Theodore Van Cauwenberghe alias Vancombert. Of exceptional quality, it brings together different goldsmithing techniques to achieve the refinement of its decor. In an immaculate state of preservation. An engraving represents a double coat of arms held by two greyhounds and crowned with a marquis crown. On the bottom of each piece is the goldsmith's hallmark, the Paris hallmark and the charge and discharge mark from the year 1781. The set weighs 1,700 grams. This is museum worthy quality.
