Provençal Console In Carved And Gilded Wood Eighteenth Century
Provençal console with front and curved sides in gilded wood and carved with foliage patterns, laurel garlands, shells, acanthus leaves and volutes. It rests on two eventful feet joined by a cross sculpted with a drape on which an antique vase rests. The scalloped top and molded with an ogee is in Turquin Capella blue marble (Serravezza Italy, solid Carrara). Old gilding which gives it a beautiful patina. Provence XVIIIth century.
