18th Century, Italian Neoclassical Wood Coffèe Table with Alabaster Oval Top

The neoclassical table was made in the south of Italy (Sicily) between the end of the XVIII century and the beginning of the XIX century. It has a molded mahogany wood structure with four curved legs and goat feet. A light crossbar joins the four legs giving elegance and stability. The oval top is made of marble called Alabastro fiorito. The fine wood essence of mahogany has a dark finish that gives refinement and gracefulness and is aimed at simulating another valuable wood, such as ebony.
This furniture has a rather rare compositional line and is suitable to be used as a center table, placed between two sofas or armchairs or near a wall in any room of your home, a living room, an entrance or a study.
