Very pretty oil painting on wood panel signed by artist (certainly Spanish) H. de Giuja. The work is in its original condition, framed in an imposing 19th century frame which measures 90 cm by 66 cm and 70 cm by 46 cm without the frame. It represents a picturesque scene of the daily life of yesteryear, of the washerwomen working at the wash house in the village square. It is signed and dated 1895 lower right.
