For lovers of African paintings, this oil on wood panel signed lower right by the Portuguese painter born in Léopoldville Guilherme d'Oliveira Marques. The work which represents an animated landscape of a mother and her child under a baobab tree is in good condition, it is done in oil on a wooden panel mounted on a frame which measures 46 cm by 36.5 cm. It is signed lower right. Guilherme d'Oliveira Marques is considered one of the fathers of African painting. He is buried in the Ngombé cemetery in Kinshasa.
