Pupil of Eugène Gillot, he obtained an honorable mention at the Salon of French artists in 1908 then a silver medal in 1937. He died on April 23, 1951 in the Bichat Hospital in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, and, is initially buried in the Cemetery of Saint Ouen (19th division) before being transferred a few months later to the cemetery of Montmartre (24th division)
