Léopold Haeck (Antwerp, 1868- Wijnegem, 1928).
Belgian painter and engraver. Training at the Academy of Antwerp at C. Verlat and at the Higher Institute of Antwerp.
Debut at the Salon Triennal in 1888. Painted and engraved views of cities, genre scenes, portraits of the landscapes of Campine.
Affects twilight and chiaroscuro. Its luminous realism is characterized by a free touch.
Member of the group "Als Ik Kan"; Works at the Museum of Antwerp and at the Cabinet des Estampes.
