BIOGRAPHY:
Jean Louis Paguenaud (1876-1952) was a student of Bouguerau at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux.
He exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français, beginning in 1905. He exhibited at the Parisian gallery on rue de la Boétie.
He was the subject of a major retrospective in 1981 at the Musée de Toulon. He was an official painter of the Navy. (Navy ink under the signature).
Listed in the Bénézit and Schurr's "Les petits maîtres de la peinture" (Little Masters of Painting).
Period: Early 20th century.
