French school of the XVIIIth century, pair of animated gouache "landscape with ruins". The largest measure (with frame) 21.5x16cms. The view 12 x 16.5 cms Signed HR and dated 1784 The smallest measurement (with frame) 19.5 x15 cms The view 11 x 15.5cms Signed HR and dated 1778 The set is in a very good condition, very colorful with many characters spread over the whole landscape. Nature is sublimated. The two gouaches are framed by a gilded wooden rod as well as bubble glasses from the time. The back is covered with paper written in ink from the time as well. Very decorative!
