Folded fan, representing the "Judgement of Paris". Painted skin, English-style mounting. At the presence of Juno with her symbol the peacock, and Mars, Mercure and Cupid, Paris gives the apple to Venus as the most beautiful amongst Minerva, June and Venus. The bord in gilt paper is finely orned with flowers. The ivory sticks are finely carved, engraved and highlighted with mother of pearl, The lateral sticks are adorned with a lady and a gentleman and highlighted with silver piqués dots. The plain verso is adorned with gilt shells and flowers and two chinese type scenes. Europe 1730 circa , with CITES
