The Florentine singer of the 15th century, an important bronze sculpture, it is signed on the terrace P. DVBOIS, F. BARBEDIENNE FONDEUR as well as the Collas mechanical reduction seal, original brown patina, second half of the 19th century. Paul Dubois (1827-1905) Son of a notary, he first studied law and then attracted to sculpture, entered the Paris School of Fine Arts in 1858, he stayed there for a year and then spent four years in Italy, notably in Rome and Florence, the Florentine Renaissance sculpture will definitely mark his art. He started at the salon in 1857 but it was in 1864 with his Saint Jean Baptiste Enfant and in 1865 his Singer Florentin medal of honor that he obtained glory. These two works will be published in different dimensions.
