DONNY Désiré (1798-1861) Belgian painter of the romantic school. Some of his works are at the Royal Army Museum in Brussels as well as at the Kortrijk and Ypres museums in Belgium and Doncaster in Great Britain. He painted many marines, fishing boats, barges. Then around 1839 he also painted ports and views of rivers and cities in the moonlight. Its frame is original, it is signed in the lower left corner.
