Color lithograph entitled "walk in the Bois de Boulogne ..... Attelage à la daumont"; by Louis Emmanuel Soulange - Teissier (1814-1898) after Jules de Bonnemaison (1809-1865). This Lithograph has kept beautiful colors, and sold framed. Louis Emmanuel Soulange Teissier, born July 08, 1814 in Amiens (80) and died February 12, 1898 in Milon la Chapelle (78) at the age of 83 years. At 16 he entered a Parisian printer as an apprentice typographer and then a page designer at Panckouke. He then devoted himself to painting and then lithography. In 1841 he obtained a 3rd class medal at the Salon des Artistes. In 1857 and 1858 he was again laureate of the same salon and was awarded a 2nd class medal; Upon his return from Spain in 1855, he devoted himself to interpreting the works of numerous contemporary artists. He owed part of his fame to the interpretation of the works of Rosa Bonheur (1822-1899), one of the very famous animal painters at that time, for whom he produced lithography for more than forty paintings. He also painted the portrait of the Prince Imperial whose print printed in 1862 was sent to all the prefectures. Dimensions lithography 63 cm X 83 cm Frame 72 cm X 92 cm Shipping costs consult us.
