Pair Of Sconces Model By Jean-charles Delafosse
Louis XVI style, pair of large sconces with three sconces, chased and gilded bronze. Arm of light decorated with acanthus leaves, supporting garlands of oak leaves framing a ram's head. Amount in fluted asparagus sheath, surmounted by a fire pot. Pleated silk lampshade enhanced with piping, in perfect condition and very clean. From a castle in Sologne. Model of Jean-Charles DELAFOSSE (1734-1789). Total height 67 cm. Height of the lamp base to the pot-à-feu 53 cm. Width 40 cm. Original model kept at the Louvre Museum.
