Louis XVI Style Mirror, Allegory Of Love, 19th Century
A Louis XVI style mirror in carved and gilded wood, decorated with an allegorical image of love on its pediment depicting a quiver of arrows crossed with a torch (Cupid's arrows and the fire of passion), all bound by a laurel wreath. The frame is adorned on its inner edge with a beaded frieze, and the feet are decorated with pine cone motifs. The mirror is in beautiful original condition. Total height 64 cm, width 39 cm.
