Consulate Period Mahogany 2 Seats Sofa Attributed To Demay
Beautiful sofa for two, Consulate - Empire production, early 19th century (circa 1800-1805) Parisian production not stamped, but undoubtedly the work of a great French seatmaker - Jean Baptiste Demay very probably, maybe Jacob Frères.
Refined piece in excellent condition, our seats was fully restored : new varnish made in a traditionnal way, covered with antique silk and decoration (those materials are close to 100 years old but were never used before).
