Gustave Assire born in Angers, was at the Académie Julian and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, student of JP Laurens, Cormon and Gustave Moreau. He exhibited to French Artists from 1900 and at the Salon des Indépendants from 1927 to 1931. He illustrated a number of works including "Mac Orlan, Secret images of Paris" in 1930.
