Gold Snuffbox By David Lhonorey
Octagonal gold box. It has a radiant circle decor surrounded by palmettes. The friezes are decorated with strawberries and interlacing in shiny gold on an amati background. It opens with a hinge. The sides are entirely guilloche with parallel streaks. It has the hallmarks of Paris large guarantee for 1809. It is stamped by the master goldsmith David Lhonorey active from 1782 to 1813 It weighs 110 g dimensions: 9.8 cm X 4.3 cm by 1.9 cm in height excellent condition.
