Gold And Enamel Case From The Late 18th Century

An 18-karat gold case.

It is entirely enameled.

The reserves feature scenes of young children and couples.

A lamb gazes upon the temple of love, upon which rest two flaming hearts surmounted by a dove. The dog of fidelity sits in a rose garden, overflown by two doves. These are the decorations that complete this precious object.

The backgrounds are adorned with black and lavender-blue enamel, decorated with floral baskets and ribbons.
This case surely contained small love notes intended for a beloved.
