Beautiful animal bronze sculpture in excellent Representative a sitting Belgian Shepherd, signed René Paul Marquet, French sculptor born in 1875 and died in 1939. At the Beaux-Arts in Paris, he was a student of Falguière, who is well known, and of Emmanuel Fontaine, who is less so. He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in 1909.
