Artist: D'après Paul Louis Cyfflé
According to Paul Louis Cyfflé (1724-1806), a figurine made of pipe earthenware representing an allegory of winter. Remarkable delicacy of features, this statuette represents a naked man, covered just with a stole, protecting himself from the cold and trying to warm himself with a firepot. Original work of Paul Louis Cyfflé, realized here by Toul Bellevue's faiencerie under the period of Jules Aubry 1860-1898. The man's fingers are missing over the firepot.
