Several marks and number of inventory allow us to trace its course: the mark GT followed by an inventory number corresponding to the Castle of the Grand Trianon affixed under the 1st Empire. The crowned CP in a circle mark corresponds to the furniture of the Palais de Compiègne also under the 1st Empire. Finally, the last mark, a T followed by an inventory number corresponds to the Petit Trianon Castle affixed under Napoleon III (inventory of 1855).
Trace of label on the back belt (unreadable).
A similar model of bergère is now on display in the Premier Salon of the Prince Double apartment at the Château de Compiègne.
