Charles Boris de Jankowski, was a painter, draftsman, lithographer and illustrator Polish having made his career in France. He started at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1880 and began to produce drawings for illustrated periodicals. He moved to Paris in 1888 where he completed his apprenticeship with Fernand Cormon and Léon Bonnat. He worked for L'Illustration and The Graphic. In 1917, an exhibition on his paintings and drawings was organized at the Georges Petit Gallery.
