Very beautiful bust Hermes era Second Empire. Bronze with lost wax, circa 1866. No signature or stamp of foundry. Height: 33 cm Shoulder width: 18 cm ______________________________________________ Domenico Maggesi, born in Carrara in 1801, settled in Bordeaux in 1829 where he became the official sculptor of the local bourgeoisie. He died in 1892. The subject is not yet identified.
