Sarah Jeannot was born in Les Brenets (canton of Neuchâtel) on July 22, 1883. She moved to Paris [in 1909] to study at the Académie Julian and the Académie des Beaux-Arts. During her stay, she studied under Jean-Paul Laurens, Alcide Le Beau, and André Lhôte.
She then settled in Neuchâtel and painted primarily landscapes and portraits. She designed the interior decoration of the Banque cantonale neuchâteloise. She regularly participated in the Nationales, the Amis des Arts, and the salons of the Neuchâtel chapter of the Swiss Society of Women Painters, Sculptors, and Decorators, which she presided over for a time. Privately, she taught drawing for many years.
She died in Les Brenets on August 16, 1958.
