Wood Divination Object - Kuba Late 19-20th Century (ancient Republic Of Congo
Probably representing a crocodile. This divination instrument is covered on the lateral sides of the belly with oblique scarifications in the shape of lozenges of reddish-brown hue as well as on the jaws of the animal. The back is flat and served by friction to obtain various answers posed by the diviner. Good state of conservation. Many traces of use and small holes due to seniority.
