Marked in red on the back: DAGOTY Mother Faubourg Pre N ° 2 IN PARIS for
Manufacture Dagoty Faubourg Poissonnière n ° 2 in Paris This brand has very little exited: Pierre-Louis and Etienne Dagoty (2 brothers) will remain at this address from 1797 to March 1800, from this date they settle "rue de Chevreuse" until the death of Etienne in December 1800. The brand lasted about 3 years, Abandoning everything, Pierre-Louis will exile for 4 years in the colonies. On his return, in 1804, he took over the manufacture rue de chevreuse and became the manufacturer to be titled of the Empress. From this date, new brand: "Manufacture of SM the Empress P L Dagoty in Paris"
Gilding in very good condition.
