Beautiful drawing, animated with many characters, representing a view of the Fields of the Dead in Constantinople.
A native of Vannes, unrelated to the Roux family of Marseilles, he made a great career in the navy by finishing at the rank of Admiral. He participated in the Salon from 1869 to 1870 with watercolors made during his travels.
Size: 23 x 19,3 cm without frame and 32 x 26,5 cm with its modern wooden frame.
