Secretary Louis XV Stamped J.birckle
Pretty secretary inlaid rosewood in winding frames violet wood. Slightly curved front, it opens with a flap leather trimmed discovered four small drawers and four compartments, two doors in the lower part and a drawer under ogee marble. Simple ornamentation of gilded bronze, red marble top of the Languedoc. Stamp J.BIRCKLE, Louis XV. Jacques BIRCKLE (1734 - 1803) received master July 30, 1764, talented cabinetmaker, has favored the decorative effect of its furniture contrasting inlays substantially free of bronzes.
