19th-century French Silver Mustard Pot.
A mustard dish made of silver and cobalt blue crystal, resting on a square base with four claw-shaped feet, the sides of which are accented with openwork ornamentation featuring interlaced motifs.
The circular body is supported by three pilasters adorned with quivers, knots, and floral ribbons. These elements are joined at the top by a thick molded molding, embellished with a frieze of water leaves. A side handle, shaped like a swan’s head, is attached to the frame.
The hinged lid is slightly domed and topped with a pine-cone-shaped knob.
The inner vessel is made of cobalt blue crystal.
