3 Black- And Gray-lacquered Bookcases, 19th Century
LIB167 - Set of 3 bookcases in black and gray lacquered wood.
The set consists of two small bookcases and one large one.
These bookcases feature a striking architectural design in the neoclassical style, with a solid and well-proportioned structure. The body is punctuated by side pilasters embellished with elegant leaf carvings and crowned by decorative capitals that support a projecting entablature.
The dark, almost ebony-colored lacquer highlights the relief of the moldings and lends depth and austerity to the overall design.
