4 Chairs, 19th Century
Set of four dining or living room chairs, made of solid walnut (or mahogany/cherry) with a dark, glossy finish, featuring clearly visible natural grain.
The enveloping backrest features a “vase-shaped” or “lyre-shaped” (centrally shaped back panel) design and fluid, curved side posts.
The front legs have a slight curve or a gently undulating profile, while the back legs are sabre-shaped to ensure stability.
The upholstered seat is covered in fabric with vertical stripes (shades of yellow, gray/brown, and cream), finished along the perimeter with metal studs.
