Art Deco-style Dressing Table, After Ruhlmann, Decorative, Late 20th Century
Artist: D'après Ruhlmann, Fin Xxème Siècle
An elegant Art Deco-style dressing table and powder compact, crafted based on the famous model “Morel” created by the great French interior designer and decorator Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann (1879–1933).
Beautifully crafted cabinetry that faithfully reproduces the lines of the original design. It is distinguished by its tapered legs, which end in delicate Bakelite feet.
The wood veneer top with contrasting grain is framed by two sliding panels or panels that open to reveal compartments; the entire piece is topped by a tilting circular mirror.
The front opens via a central drawer featuring a pull knob that matches the feet.
Made in the late 20th century
Good overall condition, some slight wear and traces of oxidation—refinished
Height 110.5 cm—height of the dressing table excluding the mirror 74.5 cm
52.5 x 35 cm
Mirror diameter 29.5 cm
